The Lexmark T640, T642 and T644 were released in June 2005. As successors to Lexmark's T610, T620 and T630 series they are robust with a duty cycle ranging up to 250,000 pages per month and a maintenance interval of 300,000 pages.

Maximum speeds range from 35 to 55 pages per minute.

Hardware resolution is 1200 dpi with resolution enhancement giving a 2400dpi equivalence.

Multifunction Printers are the X642e, X644e, X646dte

Fuser:

The fuser in a laser printer bonds toner to paper using a combination of heat and pressure. Lemark T640 printers require a new fuser (or a maintenance kit) when the LCD display says "80 Scheduled Maintenance".
